You're missing out on the best part of these rules... RAW, a Young Kruthik (a spider-like monstrosity with an Int score of 4) would technically be a viable option for a Spellcaster-type sidekick, since in it its stat block it does speak a language (Kruthik). If you're not playing a sidekick game with your party wizard taking on an Int 4 spider monster as an apprentice then idk what the point is lmao
